Classroom Instruction

Since 1980, SYS-ED has been developing and conducting courses in the public domain. Our courses have been developed based upon the application of classic adult learning theory. They have have been incrementally refined and updated through the instructor training program mandated by the New York State Department of Education.

When information technology professionals complete a SYS-ED course they will have:

a uniform approach to the subject, in order that standards will be easier to develop and enforce.
received a well-rounded understanding of the subject.
achieved pre established performance objectives.
been given training aids for use back on the job.

Content Delivery Selection: Cost, Convenience, Time Compression

In addition to classroom instruction, SYS-ED provides web-based training services. Standard and blended distance-learning is offered selectively and only after a telephone consultation with both the manager sending the employee for the training and the employee to be trained. The success of web-based training is directly related to correctly matching the delivery system - hardware, bandwidth, security, and hands-on workshop portion to the underlying information technology subject matter and an efficient way for the employee to learn. Not all information technology matter lends itself to a web-based learning format (e.g. programming languages does, network administration typically does not). We also will review the self-paced e-learning alternatives.

SYS-ED Staff

SYS-ED instructors and CETi Technology Partners combine broad practical experience in information technology - hardware, operating systems, networking, programming languages, database, system software, web enablement, and security - with extensive teaching experience. Each instructor goes through a training program in order to ensure that they are experts in communication and teaching IT subject matter. It is our prerogative to work with prospective clients in order to select the staff member who is well suited both in terms of technical knowledge and presentation of content with the emerging delivery medium.

What Sets SYS-ED Apart?

SYS-ED courses incorporate industry standard content and consultancy derived knowledge from our hard earned consultant's swagger.
Our courseware utilizes a variety of presentation formats: textual, tabular, diagrammatic, bullet point, and code snippets in order to efficiently organize, present, and reinforce performance objectives.
We will custom-develop courseware to address the operational requirements of the client organization. This is done free of charge.
We offer client organizations the option of using pre and post course validation assessment.
SYS-ED courses are updated to reflect the new releases and trends in the industry. Technology updates, learning paths, technology assessments, prototypes of web app prototyping, and answers to common questions are distributed through software-specific websites.

We encourage students to bring assignments and problems from work to class for analysis.
After the training has been provided, clients are welcome to stay in contact with SYS-ED and ask the questions which come up back on the job.
SYS-ED provides a warranty of service. If you don't feel you're mastered the subject matter, you can retake the course free of charge.

The SYS-ED Challenge!

Find an area of training that's given your organization trouble in the past. Once you've determined which of your training needs is the most challenging, call SYS-ED. Our approach is to study the client's operational objectives and documented standards (after executing the client's confidentiality agreement) and then render an opinion as to whether the training assignment requires educational consultancy in lieu of a standard off-the-shelf course. We will then provide a training plan in writing.
