SYS-ED courses are designed to teach, develop, and reinforce the skills required for addressing specific operational objectives. The foundation for these courses are the standards and lesson plans mandated by the New York State Department of Education. Our instructor-led and web-based training service reflects multi generation experience with the Microsoft Windows operating system family and evolving MS Office Suite: Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and FrontPage. We also demonstrate less expensive open source alternatives - OpenOffice, Star Office, and Google Apps and provide guidelines associated with the transition to software as a service and web-enabled documents and data.

Staff
SYS-ED's staff have been innovative leaders in the identification and use of technological advancements in computer hardware, digital infrastructure, and application software. Coordinated learning paths provide the foundation for teaching advanced facilities and techniques for designing scalable databases, scripting, automating tasks and generating web based content.

Support Materials
Students are provided with SYS-ED courseware and training aids. CDs and DVDs, containing the exercises and documents created in class, can be used to review the subject matter, examples, and notes back at work.

Knowledge Base and Support Services
SYS-ED reviews information in the public domain distributed by software companies, international standards committees, and purveyors of open source software. We provide our own assessment of benchmarks for software updates and new products. SYS-ED clients are invited to submit computer application and web design questions. Our system consultants and technology partners answer, explain, and where applicable reference source documentation.

Small Class Size
One workstation per student. We pride ourselves in maintaining a small class size. Everyone receives personalized attention from our instructors. Personalized distance-learning as an extension to traditional classroom instruction is selectively available. This web-based instruction requires a telephone consultation in order to ascertain whether the client's digital infrastructure, hardware, and security software will support a web based training service.

Private Training
We can bring our training services to your location. On-site training affords the opportunity to customize the content to an organization's specific operational objectives. SYS-ED can provide hardware and software to extend the training environment - traditional or virtual classroom.
