WebSphere Training: The SYS-ED Advantage

Few consulting or training companies provide world class WebSphere training like SYS-ED. Our multi-disciplinary full-time staff of systems consultant instructors’ experience commenced with the initial release of WebSphere and includes hundreds of WebSphere configurations and application development with Java using WASD. In conjunction with our technology partners, we have been among the first wave of programmers coding and debugging with the Rational Development platform. What this means is that we can teach and explain the nuances and interpret the guidelines that IBM has published on WebSphere across a comprehensive range of hybrid enterprise configurations. Truth be told industry leading software companies and training vendors call on SYS-ED for their challenging assignments; both for software developers and clients. And since we are an independent training company, we can provide unbiased expert information on IBM WAS versus Oracle Application Server 10g, BEA WebLogic, and Apache.

Our courses teach far more than simply the IBM documentation. SYS-ED’s tailored WebSphere training will model the client’s working production environment - actual or planned. Our knowledge base, courseware, and training aids provide guidelines on the IBM web server and development platform in hybrid software environments and help to resolve the myriad of issues required to work effectively with IBM’s WebSphere MQ middleware and longstanding system software mainstays: IMS, CICS, and DB2. And for mid-sized and smaller companies, replicate the environment and address the issues associated with different underlying operating systems - Microsoft Windows or Linux and scaling to higher volume transaction systems. At the client's discretion, we can provide assessment validation on the subject matter presented in class. When the WebSphere training is complete, clients are welcome to submit WebSphere questions.

SYS-ED WebSphere courses are offered through our New York schedule. Our comprehensive WebSphere curriculum includes 35+ course titles, with the TC suffix indicating a course that was developed and taught in conjunction with consulting assignments. Course titles and topics can be viewed by typing WebSphere in the search engine field.

SYS-ED WebSphere courses are not open to the general public. Only employees sponsored by Fortune 1000 corporations, government municipalities, healthcare providers, consulting companies, and mid-sized businesses are allowed to enroll in a SYS-ED course and only after a telephone consultation with our Director of Education. This is essential for ensuring that the individual be placed in the course which corresponds to the employer's version of WebSphere, operating environment, and operational objectives.

Private Courses
SYS-ED teaches private courses in North America and Europe. Courses can be conducted for groups as few as 3 individuals. The aggregate charges for these courses typically will be comparable or less expensive (course fee, air transportation, hotel, ground transportation, per diem allowance), then sending those employees to New York for the training. With private courses  topics can be mixed and matched from multiple course outlines and the workshops tailored. Case in point; several of our fast-track clients have had us conduct accelerated 5-day courses consisting of what is regularly 8 days of subject matter.

Warranty of Service
SYS-ED will not accept an assignment until we confer and review the topics, examples, and exercises to be covered in the course. And this information will be provided in writing to the client as part of the training contract. Equally as important, we recognize and differentiate between an industry standard course: WebSphere Application Server Administration versus WebSphere Performance Design and Tuning and WebSphere MQ Clustering - Design and Architecture.
