Hey IBM! WebSphere MQ: One Stop Shopping?

It Don't Work, When it Comes to Training.

Better than IBM!

WebSphere MQ Training Advanced search

An overwhelming majority of Fortune 1000 and midsized companies are turning to IBMs bellweather WebSphere MQ middleware software. It is battle tested, stable, and works well in hybrid operating system, system software, and development platform environments. Industry experts agree that it is an excellent product; WebSphere MQ dominates the installed base of software.

When it comes to WebSphere MQ training, SYS-ED is a recognized leader. SYS-ED has specialized WebSphere MQ expertise when it comes to providing predictable training outcomes: administration, design, coding, debugging, and performance tuning. Our staff has been working with MQSeries (which predated WebSphere) since its initial release in the mid 1990s. Equally as important, we are experts with the interrelated system required for effective utilization of IBM WebSphere MQSeries middleware: evolutionary MVS up through z/OS and non-IBM operating systems, Microsoft Windows and UNIX- and Linux- variants, and IBM system software - CICS, IMS, and DB2. This know-how and hands-on experience provides us with a privileged foundation from which to explain and teach WebSphere MQ.

WebSphere MQ Schedule

WebSphere Schedule

Mainframe Schedule

SYS-ED WebSphere MQ courses are not open to the general public. Only employees sponsored by Fortune 1000 corporations, government municipalities, healthcare providers, and consulting companies are allowed to enroll in a SYS-ED course and only after a telephone consultation with our Director of Education. This is essential for ensuring that the individual be placed in the course which corresponds to the employers operating environment, version of WebSphere MQ, and programming language.

SYS-ED has been conducting courses in the public domain since 1980; however, there have been changes in the laws and regulations governing computer training in the state of New York. The schedule on our websites reflects a projected time frame for licensure with the New York State Department of Education - Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision and submission and approval of curriculum. It will be updated quarterly.

Private Courses: Client Location
SYS-ED teaches private courses in North America and Europe. WebSphere MQ training services are available in a web-based learning format. The standard distance-learning course is an extension of the New York schedule, inclusive of courseware and training aids. A distance-learning course is 65% lecture with the remaining 35% of the service provided in the form of scheduled interactive question and answer sessions with a subject matter expert, hands-on exercises, optional validation assessment, and submission of questions through our technology exchange websites.

Alternative web-based and e-learning training is available: self-paced, presentation through the client's authoring system, or podcast. Client organizations are presented with a palette of medium to select from in order to address selection of content, time compression, scheduling, and operational requirements. These tailored services are offered selectively.

Prior to scheduling a web-based course, SYS-ED requires an examination of the prospective client's telecommunication's and software infrastructure to be utilized in the transmission of the service: bandwidth, firewall, web browser, base operating system, and system software security.

Warranty of Service
As an independent IT training organization, SYS-ED is committed to providing professional WebSphere MQ training, not selling software. SYS-ED will not accept an assignment until our Director of Education reviews the topics, examples, and workshops to be covered in the course. The agreed upon content will be provided in writing to the client as part of the training contract.

So when it comes to your WebSphere MQ training needs, by all means contact IBM and review their course outlines, performance objectives, and courseware. And then visit www.mqseriestrainingbysysed.us. Better yet e-mail us to schedule a consultation at dsilverberg@sysed.com or dshapiro@sysed.com or call 212-564-9147.

Courseware for Teaching

Computer Education Techniques courseware library used in SYS-ED courses consists of student hand-outs, training aids, documented walkthroughs, and industry-specific exercises. The CETi knowledge base is a service for answering questions, inclusive of the research and validation of the accuracy of information in the public domain. Citation of source documentation and examples are used to provide answers to the questions. Content is selectively added to courseware.
