Oracle Software - The Next Generation Oracle Corporation has been aggressive in acquiring technologies and increasing targeted software and hardware market share. Accordingly, significant changes in the Oracle product line are in the process of being implemented. With the acquisition of BEA Systems, WLS: WebLogic Server is being rebranded as Oracle WebLogic Application Server. Oracle's stated strategy is to make WebLogic Server its preferred application server. Complementary components from Oracle Application Server along with WebLogic Operations Control from BEA and Coherence from Tangosol also will be integrated into WebLogic Server. The long term plans associated with its acquisition of Sun Microsystems and for the software Solaris and MySQL has not been stated publicly. The challenge for Oracle’s customers will be managing differing application server environments until the roadmap becomes a reality and then migrating to their own standardized platform. SYS-ED's staff of system consultants have been monitoring the technical issues which have been arising for customers of both platforms as Oracle undertakes the product changes and commences the migration for its installed base of clients. Oracle Corporation will be providing maintenance for current Oracle Application Server 10g customers during the convergence of functionality with the WebLogic Server. SYS-ED’s Oracle course offerings and tailored training programs reflect our 20+ years and first generation experience with Oracle and WebLogic. How do we do it? It is our standard operating procedure to tailor the content, examples, exercises, and courseware in order to explain and demonstrate challenges such as.
Our collective experience includes the knowledge base and system integration acquired from identifying the problems and successfully debugging interactive on-line information processing systems software. In the 1970’s our consultants wrote the code and trained DP (It was called DP then!) personnel on the first generation of teleprocessing monitors and systems software for mainframe systems. In the 1980’s, we implemented the networks, designed multi-vendor/multi-platform client/server databases and trained the database programmers and administrators on how to create, maintain, and optimize their data. In the 1990’s, we created 100’s of networked web server environments on the major operating systems - DOS, OS/2, Microsoft Windows, Novell, and Linux; and we provided the tailored training on how to make these diverse environments interoperate. And now we are among the leaders in implementing the myriad of Internet scripting languages and development platforms: JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, JSP, CGI, PHP, Beans, ActiveX, XML, Perl, WebSphere Studio Application Developer, VisualAge, JBuilder, Web Gain, and Forte/Sun One, to name a few. Our technologists are there to help you evaluate, implement, and troubleshoot the next generation of Oracle systems software and applications. SYS-ED Approach to Oracle Training SYS-ED can address diverse Oracle and PL/SQL training requirements and train IT staff to:

Consultancy Derived Oracle Training In addition to the design and programming courses, we teach advanced and tailored platform specific Oracle courses: stored procedures, database administration for systems performance, OLAP administration, disaster recovery, operations, and XML extender. |

| Evolving IT - Interrelated Technologies Information technology training for business enterprise is more complex and challenging than ever before. Organization’s have a huge investment in infrastructure and applications specific to their operations. There are new industry standard protocols, web server and web enabled technologies and development platforms which require development from scratch and/or integration with the existing system software and enterprise databases. There will be long term implications regarding the strategic mix of proprietary and open source software which is selected, along with decisions on whether to maintain and upgrade the existing legacy applications, many of which are now thirty or more years of age; while retrofitting and transitioning to the new technologies. SYS-ED trained a significant portion of the first generation of DP personnel. And looks forward to training their IT successors in the 21st century.

Teaching is
Our Business
Most computer training companies are divisions of large software or consulting
companies. Not SYS-ED. Our only goal is to provide top-quality computer training
for highly motivated professionals-no more and no less. Because
we're independent,
we're free to concentrate on teaching - and since 1980 we have been doing it
very well.
Our Teachers Know How to Teach
SYS-ED instructors
combine teaching skills with broad practical experience as consultants. Our
system consultants have been working with Oracle since its initial release and
equally as important average 30 years of experience in information technology in
business enterprise: operating system, administration, and programming. And they
know
how to teach it. We teach not only "how to", but "why", building a solid
foundation in fundamentals and insights into advanced materials. After a course,
they're available to answer
questions.
Enrollment - SYS-ED
Oracle Courses are NOT for Everyone
No one is allowed to enroll in a SYS-ED Oracle course, without a consultation
with our Director of Education. We review the operational objectives and
project specifications for the organization evaluating whether to send its
employee for the training. The employee is ONLY allowed to register if they
have the appropriate background corresponding to the
correct learning path.
