Become a WebSphere MQ Expert!

WebSphere MQ: MQSeries middleware has emerged as strategic software for Fortune 1000 companies to leverage IBM system software and development platforms - WebSphere software, CICS Transaction Server, DB2 UDB, open source software XML and Java and third party software Oracle and WebLogic to address specific information technology (mainframe and web enablement) operational requirements. SYS-ED staff of systems consultants have 30+ years experience with IBM mainframe system software and have been implementing and coding MQSeries applications since its initial release (before the WebSphere family came into existence). And truth  be told SYS-ED's world class WebSphere MQSeries courses and mainframe training services are highly regarded by IBM developers and referred to IBM clients.

SYS-ED Approach to WebSphere MQ Training
Our fast-track MQSeries courses - Concepts, Administration, and Application Programming range in duration from 3 to 5 days and go well beyond teaching simply the how-to’s and highlight the guidance and tips not readily discernible from IBM documentation.

SYS-ED WebSphere MQ courses will teach how to:

  • Implement integration in a multi-platform environment.
  • Queue messages when servers are not available.
  • Utilize adapters for allowing MQSeries to connect to many different environments.
  • Support persistent and shared queues.
  • Configure workload balancing and support clusters.
  • Develop programs with the MQSeries library or JMS.

One-third of a student’s class time is spent hands-on coding, testing, and debugging WebSphere MQ applications. After a course is over, students are welcome to submit the inevitable questions which come up back on the job.

SYS-ED WebSphere MQ course workbooks and training aids extend the source documentation and incorporate a purposeful  examination of the underlying architecture, program logic, and sample programs which have been validated on consulting projects. And in this day and age with intermixing and hybrid implementations of open standards and IBM software, and in our opinion, up to date courseware which “explains and demonstrates” is fundamental to effective knowledge transfer.

WebSphere MQSeries Training: Educational Consultancy
SYS-ED will not accept an assignment until our systems consultant/curriculum managers confer and review the topics, examples, and workshops. And this information will be provided in writing as part of a letter of engagement. We recognize and differentiate between a course - such as WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) System Administration and WebSphere MQ (MQSeries): Application Programming versus educational consulting - such as WebSphere MQ Clustering - Design and Architecture and WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) Debugging Techniques on Distributed Platforms for Administrators.

With private courses, topics can be mixed and matched from multiple course outlines and the workshops tailored. Case in point; several of our fast-track clients have had us conduct accelerated 5-day WebSphere MQ courses consisting of what is regularly 8 days of subject matter. And it is standard SYS-ED policy to incorporate project specifications into a WebSphere MQ training program: WebSphere MQ and WebLogic, WebSphere MQ and Oracle, WebSphere MQ and MS .NET.  Our comprehensive WebSphere MQ curriculum consists of  20+ courses, with the tc suffix indicating a course that was developed and taught in conjunction with consulting assignments. Course topics can be reviewed by typing MQSeries in the search engine field.

Compare SYS-ED to the WebSphere MQ Training Alternatives
Industry standard WebSphere MQ courses are offered through our New York schedule. Only employees sponsored by Fortune 1000 corporations, government municipalities, healthcare providers, consulting companies, and mid-sized businesses are allowed to enroll in a SYS-ED course and ONLY after a telephone consultation with our WebSphere systems consultant/curriculum manager. This is essential for ensuring that the individual be placed in the course which corresponds to the employer’s operational objectives, system software operating environment, version of WebSphere MQ, and development platform.  We suggest that you contact IBM and review their course outlines and performance objectives. And then visit www.mqseriestrainingbysysed.us.

WebSphere MQ Training in New York 1

WebSphere MQSeries Courses
SYS-ED's WebSphere MQ courses are tough, but they're worth it. Our challenging "hands-on" WebSphere MQ training provides a foundation and framework for Fortune 1000 companies, government municipalities, healthcare providers, software houses, and consulting companies to train their own staff and acquire specialized interrelated expertise in IT technology.

Courseware
SYS-ED's WebSphere MQ courseware is highly respected in the IT field. We draw upon our extensive library of courseware, sample programs and case studies to explain, demonstrate, and teach industry a combination of industry standard and consultancy derived MQSeries content. Our MQSeries curricula are updated to include the new development environments and expanded featureset. We have the capability to provide design guidelines and programming examples across a comprehensive range of base operating platforms - MS Windows, UNIX variants, and hybrid internetworking implementations.

Teaching is Our Business
Most computer training companies are divisions of large software or consulting companies. Not SYS-ED. Our only goal is to provide top-quality computer training for highly motivated professionals - no more and no less. Because we're independent, we're free to concentrate on teaching - and since 1980 we have been doing it very well.

Our Teachers Know How to Teach
SYS-ED instructors combine teaching skills with broad practical experience as consultants. Our system consultants have been working with MQSeries since its initial release and equally as important average 30 years of experience in enterprise information technology: operating systems, administration, and programming. And they know how to teach it. We teach not only "how to", but "why", building a solid foundation in fundamentals and insights into advanced subject matter. After a course, they're available to answer questions.

Enrollment - SYS-ED WebSphere MQSeries Courses are NOT for Everyone
No one is allowed to enroll in a SYS-ED WebSphere MQSeries course, without a consultation with our Director of Education. We review the operational objectives and project specifications for the organization evaluating whether to send its employee for the training. The employee is ONLY allowed to register if they have the background corresponding to the appropriate learning paths: WebSphere MQ, WebSphere, or mainframe web enablement.

WebSphere MQ Series Training in New York, at Your Office, or via the Web
SYS-ED WebSphere MQSeries courses are held at our modern, fully equipped training center in mid town Manhattan and in conjunction with training partners in North America and Europe. If you prefer, we'll arrange tailored WebSphere MQ training on-site at your organization’s facilities inclusive of mobile computer classroom set-up. On-site courses can include the identical workshops as the WebSphere MQ training we offer in New York.

For additional information including outlines, availability of private courses, references, and course customization, contact David Shapiro at our New York office at 212-564-9147 or register online.
