courses that we do.

Our staff of system consultants are experts on InterTest and the Computer Associates family of products. We have 30 years experience in coding, debugging, and providing maintenance support on IBM mainframe systems with CICS TS with legacy programming languages. This been there done that experience provides us with the privileged perspective from which to teach the industry standard InterTest facilities and provide invaluable performance and troubleshooting guidelines. We refer it to as educational consultancy. If you’re shop is utilizing a combination of mainframe utilities and development tools from the Big 3: Computer Associates, Compuware, and IBM, then SYS-ED's integrated workshops and examples will be make a major difference in training your next generation of mainframe programmers. They will learn not just how to perform specific File-AID tasks; but will receive a foundation in the underlying mainframe system software. Additional tailored workshops can be selected from the SYS-ED courseware library. SYS-ED does not sell software; we only teach! And towards this end, we apply the full complement of training medium to help IT professionals learn. In our courses, students learn by doing; one-third of their class time will be spent hands-on with File-AID on our z/OS system. Each student receives a comprehensive student hand-out and tailored training aid. SYS-ED has a library of sample programs and workshops developed in conjunction with its consultancy assignments and which are designed to address specific operational objectives. It is a standard SYS-ED policy to allow the client to select the workshop to be used and tailor it to the client's systems software environment - CICS, DB2, and IMS. After a course is over, students are welcome to ask the inevitable questions which come up back on the job. |

SYS-ED's courseware library consists of student hand-outs, training aids, documented walkthroughs, and industry-specific exercises. The Computer Education Techniques knowledge base is a service for answering questions, inclusive of the research and validation of the accuracy of information in the public domain. Citation of source documentation and examples are used to provide answers to the questions. Content is selectively added to SYS-ED student hand-outs and training aids.
