Website search is central in determining whether or not visitors will spend more time on a website. Visitors spend an average of eight seconds before deciding whether to remain on a website. The objective is to engage the target audience and make information easy to find. Organizations that have implemented a superior website search experience report reduced customer service costs.
This website has been designed to demonstrate:
1 - Hybrid commercial and open source software. 2 - Client-side JavaScript processing.
3 - Scripts for presenting content. 4 - Search engine.
5 - Scalable database management. 6 - XML sitemap scaling.
The principles being applied are from Marketing Sherpa's Landing Page Handbook and Google Corporation paper: Maximizing Website Return on Investment.
