Linux and UNIX - Core Curriculum Courseware and Reference Documentation |
|
|
Software is downloaded and courseware updated prior to use in order to teach the latest version in the public domain or the version in use by the client in its information technology infrastructure. Utilization of UNIX- and Linux- variants in interrelated areas of information technology can be reviewed at SYS-ED's categorized and software specific websites.
The leading Linux-variants are taught using extensible modular courseware, the client selects or designates the walkthroughs, examples, code snippets, and exercises to be included in the
courseware. At the client discretion, SYS-ED will develop presentation slides to be utilized in conjunction with industry standard textbooks.
Upon completion of an instructor-led training program at the client location, it is standard policy to organize subject matter for future utilization in a web-based training infrastructure. It will then be prepared, incrementally refined, and developed into courseware as a learning center. |

Distance-learning - Linux and UNIX |
|
|
Not all courses are equally well suited for presentation in a distance-learning delivery medium - e.g. Linux- and UNIX- variant installation, networking, administration, and troubleshooting courses in hybrid internetworking and operating system environments. These types of courses only will be delivered in a web-based delivery medium upon request and after a consultation with
the client.
A lesson plan based upon the standards of the New York State Department of Education inclusive of the open source and commercial presentation systems and web-based tools to be used will be presented to the client organization. Prior to scheduling a course in a web-based delivery medium, SYS-ED requires that the transmission medium, quality of service, and security mechanisms be
evaluated and tested. |
