Computer Education Techniques has relationships with software developers,
technologists, and
text book publishers.
These relationships frequently result in project work which produces courseware and training aids reflecting the evolving
hybrid nature of the software industry:
interoperability and coexistence between open source and proprietary software and migration to new technologies.

In conjunction with CETi courseware, SYS-ED courses utilize Mike Murach & Associates text books, which have a wide acceptance in trade schools, colleges, and universities. David Shapiro and David Silverberg have an ongoing professional relationship with Mr. Murach.
Industry standard textbooks are reviewed, in many cases updated with subject matter from emerging new areas of information technology and augmented with presentation slides developed from the CETi knowledge base and technology partner consultancy assignments.
| TBRPS | Text book review inclusive of sample programs and supplemental exercises based upon hybrid implementations of proprietary and open source software. |
| TBRBP | Text book review based upon the application of best practices and guidelines. |
Textbooks also are compared to the source software company certification standards and examinations; case studies, examples, code snippets are analyzed and tested. The derivative notes and reviewer opinions become part of the CETi knowledge base.
The challenge is to update and transform the CETi courseware library into distance- and e-learning services and products which helps people learn.
