CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
Examine the sample program and sample macro provided by the instructor.
Code a routine which will serve to differentiate objects, properties, events, and methods.
The Programming Environment
Code a simple program using the features of the IDE.
Search for a specific object and its properties.
Add and remove controls on a form.
Manually and programmatically change the properties of controls.
Given a program with incorrect syntax and logic, debug and fix the program.
Variables, Arrays, and Constants
Create a program with an array that is accessed using specific elements based on user input.
Sort an existing array in descending order.
Retrieve data until an end of file condition is detected.
Create a program with nested loops.
Code a program which allows data entry with input data validation from the code.
Create an error log for all the user errors.
Code a shared error processing module for all programmers to share.
Create code which tests a user-defined function.
Create two different style menus for invoking a variety of functions.
Assign keyboard shortcuts to the menu options.
Text File I/O
Create a file with an extract of a database.
Input a text file and load it into a table.
Debugging and Deploying
Deploy an application to another user.
Given a program with errors, debug the program.
