The WSDL: Web Services Description Language is an XML-based language that can be used to provide a model for describing web services.
The WSDL defines services as collections of network endpoints or ports.
Simple Web Service
Code and test a simple web service.
Implement two simple methods; one method will be available to the web service consumer and the other will be a worker method.
Web Services: Publishing and Deploying
Publish a web service to the IIS server; allow the user to find this service.
Securing Web Services
Build encryption into the web service for data security.
Designing Web Services
Design a web service for scalability and performance.
Determine parameter attributes and size.
The design will need to account for basic exceptions.
Nonstandard Web Service Implementation
The instructor will provide guidelines on nonstandard web service implementations.
