List and analyze the function of Syncsort commands.
Data Utility Features
Select input records.
Select relevant fields.
Combine records within a file.
Divide a report into sections.
Write headers and trailers for a report.
Implement the totaling and subtotaling of data.
Specify PARM options using PARM or a special DD.
Initiating Syncsort through JCL
Code JCL and control cards to generate multiple output files.
Invoking Syncsort from a Program
Examine a sample COBOL program.
The client can specify an alternative legacy mainframe language.
Coding and Use of Exit Programs
Load the exit routines into main storage.
Initiate a tape sort using JCL and control streams.
Tune the main storage allocations.
Utilize the main storage calculation formulas.
Use the replacement for variable-length record analysis - HISTOGRM.
Selection and formatting of records.
Selecting input records based on comparisons between fields or between fields and constants.
Reformat and edit input/output records.
