    1. Introduction
      • Code a program which uses dataset processing in multiple steps.
    2. Controlling Input and Output
      • Output multiple observations and write to multiple SAS datasets.
    3. Summarizing Data
      • Accumulating totals and accumulating variable by coding the logic without a PROC.
    4. Reading and Writing Different Types of Data
      • z/OS: Read a VSAM dataset into a SAS dataset.
      • MS Windows: Read an Excel spreadsheet into a SAS dataset.
      • z/OS or MS Windows: Read a DB2 table into a SAS dataset.
      • Reading hierarchical raw data files.
    5. Data Transformations
      • Manually reformat SSN, phone numbers, and dates using character manipulation.
      • Convert numeric, dates, and character fields.
    6. Processing Data Iteratively
      • Store data into a two-dimensional table and traverse the table.
    7. Combining SAS Datasets
      • Match-merge two SAS datasets and print out frequency statistics.
      • Optional: Join two tables in Db2 and print out frequency statistics.
