DATES:

HANDS-ON TRAINING:
    1. Fundamentals
      • Examine the concepts and terminology of a RDMS.
      • Use a human resource system to produce sample reports.
    2. Query Languages
      • Invoke and customize QMF.
      • Set the defaults for the query type, log dataset names, and printer information.
    3. SQL Queries
      • Execute queries and display reports.
      • Run a series of queries with SQL and reports.
      • Customize the reports with heading and footing information.
    4. QBE Queries
      • Execute queries and display reports.
      • Run a series of queries by drawing requests.
      • Modify the queries and convert to SQL.
    5. Commands
      • Examine and use QMF commands.
      • Run commands to save the queries, reports, and data into sequential datasets.
      • Create and execute interactive scripts to run reports.
      • Execute batch QMF for printing reports.
    6. Basic Report Writing
      • Display and modify a report.
      • Modify the form to include additional heading and footings.
      • Modify the size of column.
      • Change column headings.
    7. Advanced Report Formatting
      • Use report generation options and execute scripts.
      • Modify the form to include break logic, statistics, and detail/summary reports.
    8. Resolving Errors
      • Examine and research error messages.
      • Identify and revise invalid SQL statements.
      • Identify run-time errors and resolve each of the errors.
