DATES:

HANDS-ON TRAINING:
    1. Introduction
      • Become familiar with the components of a trigger.
    2. WebSphere MQ
      • Acquire familiarity with the MQSC commands.
      • In Verification mode, create queues, change queues, list attributes, list statistics, and run commands.
      • In Direct mode run MQSC commands on a local queue manager.
      • In Indirect mode, run MQSC commands on a remote queue manager.
      • Create MQSC command files.
    3. Performance Design
      • Build the components for a trigger.
      • Build and create an initiation queue for an application queue and associate the initiation queue with the application queue.
      • Create a process definition object which contains information relating to the application that is to serve the application queue.
      • Create a transmission queue definition.
    4. Troubleshooting
      • Process a dead letter queue.
      • Execute the utilities for listing the elements in an MQ dead letter queue.
      • Clear the dead letter queue.
    5. MQAI: MQ Administration Interface
      • Become familiar with MQAI.
      • Create and display objects in MQAI.
    6. MQEXECUTE
      • Configure WebSphere MQ using MQEXECUTE.
      • Send administration commands to the command server.
    7. Data Exchange between Applications
      • Convert bags and buffers.
      • Send data between applications.
      • Place the message data in a bag.
      • Convert the data in a bag into a PCF message.
      • Send the PCF message to the required queue.
    8. MQ Programming
      • Open a queue manager.
      • Code a routine to open the default queue manager and a specific queue manager.
      • Code a general module to process any error or issues connecting to the queue manager.
