DATES:

HANDS-ON TRAINING:
    1. Getting Started
      • Open and close a queue manager.
      • Code a routine to open both the default and specific queue manager.
      • Code a general module which processes an error while connecting to the queue manager.
    2. Messages
      • Differentiate between differ message types.
    3. IBM MQ Objects
      • List the objects used in a MQ program.
    4. MQ Explorer
      • Browse and update the contents of a queue.
    5. Message MQ Interface
      • Commit a unit of work, all updates must be successful to preserve data integrity.
      • If the program detects an error and decides that the put operation is not to be made permanent, the unit of work can be backed out.
      • Code successful and unsuccessful application checking for a IBM MQ API call using the completion code.
    6. Connecting to a Queue Manager
      • Connect to a specific Queue Manager and process any error conditions.
    7. Putting a Message
      • Send practice messages to groups and request a reply.
      • Code a program that writes and reads groups of messages.
      • Code a program that sends a request and gets a reply.
    8. Browsing Messages
      • Code an MQ application in a multithreading environment.
      • Determine information about a queue manger and a queue.
    9. Committing and Backing Out Units of Work
      • Commit a unit of work, all updates must be successful to preserve data integrity.
      • If the program detects an error and decides that the put operation is not to be made permanent, the unit of work can be backed out.
      • Code successful and unsuccessful application checking for a IBM MQ API call using the completion code.
    10. Triggers
      • Define a process definition using MSQC.
      • Determine the attributes of an initiation queue.
      • Determine if the trigger monitor is executing.
      • Create a trigger message to initiate another program.
      • Pass data into the triggered process.
      • Using CKTI in the CICS environment.
      • Use the MQCB call to reregister a callback for the specified object handle and control activation and changes to the callback.
