      • Examine the CICS concepts and facilities.
    2. Command Level Programming
      • Recognize the differences between z/OS memory processing and CICS processing.
    3. Temporary Storage and Transient Data
      • Acquire familiarity with the CICS functions that handle terminals, programs, files and temporary storage.
    4. Channels and Containers
      • Describe the limitations of channels and containers.
      • Compare channels to a COMMAREA.
      • Become familiar with the techniques for passing data.
    5. Interval Control and Asynchronous Processing
      • List the issues associated with running programs asynchronously.
    6. File Control
      • Discuss the issues associated with VSAM errors in an online system.
    7. CICS and the Web
      • Examine the facilities which comprise CICS web support.
    8. CICS and Web Services
      • Review a sample web service and its interfaces.
