SYS-ED knows UNIX. And more importantly we know how to teach UNIX. Back in the 1970’s, our staff of instructors and consultants were among the original cadre of trainers at AT&T and Bell Labs. We developed and taught C programs to the first generation of staff programmers, were involved on the ground floor of the superset of functions which became C++, and wrote the workbooks for XWindows and Motif interfaces. We also offered tailored UNIX tools and utilities courses. When UNIX became an integral part of IBM mainframes, we developed and taught AIX courses. And of course, we teach Linux and SCO UNIX also.

Real Hands-on Training
SYS-ED's UNIX training courses are tough, but they're worth it. Our challenging "hands-on" training immediately increases programming productivity by 50% or more for both business professionals new to mainframe programming and experienced mainframe programmers. SYS-ED's UNIX course manuals are the best in the industry. They are comprehensive guides and programming models written especially for each course by our experienced instructors. SYS-ED students also have access to our on-line reference books, sample programs, and training aid via the Internet.

Most computer training companies are divisions of large software companies or consulting companies. Not SYS-ED. SYS-ED's courses are held at our modern, fully equipped training center in New York City, and major cities in North America and Europe. We have workshops for all the UNIX platforms: Linux training, AIX training, Sun Microsystems training, etc. If you prefer, we'll arrange on-site courses at your own computer installation, inclusive of mobile computer classroom set-up. On-site courses can include the same workshops, and case studies and hands-on approach as our restricted enrollment courses. Or can be customized to your particular application or project.
